Location

Tented camp on the shore of Lake Rwanyakazinga in the far north of Akagera, inside the park's only private-access concession. It shares the remote northern sector only with its sister camp, Magashi Peninsula; around it are open savanna, rolling hills and papyrus-lined lakes. The camp is unfenced and hippos and elephants come close to the tents.

LakeSavanna

All eight tents face Lake Rwanyakazinga; camp also looks over savanna with hills framing the horizon.

Helipad at the lodgeYes

About half an hour game-drive transfer from Akagera's Northern Gate to camp, longer with game viewing (Africa Odyssey); Northern Gate ~3 h from Kigali and restricted to Magashi guests. No source gives a time from the south gate (Kiyovu).

Getting around

Tents reached by long raised wooden walkways and very spread out; quite a walk from the furthest tents to the central area (flagged for limited mobility); guests escorted after dark.
